Hyeonah Choi is a creative technologist in South Korea with a M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Korea University. She is interested in AR/VR, Biodata, Deep Learning, and HCI. She has been designing for mobile XR user experience. That is, she is gunning to create a seamless UX on a mobile device with which the user can conveniently use and switch between VR, AR, and regular smartphone functions. Such UX would be possible through a combination of things including proper contents and application design, transition interfaces between these operational modes, streamlining of the hardware platform (e.g. easy flip-on lens for VR function).
Besides, she is working as a media artist. Artworks focus on two issues. First, to explore alternatives to the various environmental issues found in urban space, it deals with projects incorporating art, design, and technology based on research and archive work on urban history, culture, nature, and spatial structure. The second is AI ethics issues. She figures out the AI ethics problems exposed in daily life and informs citizens by art performance.
