Harshana Lakshara Fernando is a Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He specializes in Distributed Systems, Cloud-Native Engineering, and Mobile Development. During his industry experience at Information Systems Associates, Harshana engineered high-throughput Kafka-backed microservices managing 25+ transactions per second. His research interests include Blockchain Scalability (ZK-rollups) and building high-performance platforms. At the Empathic Computing Laboratory, he is contributing to the development of mobile and wearable mental health platforms, leveraging his expertise in React Native and System Design to advance digital phenotyping research.
