Fatemeh is a PhD candidate at Deakin University’s School of Architecture and Built Environment. Her research interests span architectural computing, computational analysis, and the study of socio-spatial experiences. She is interested in decoding and quantifying the spatial characteristics of built environments, aiming to deepen the understanding of spatial structures and their socio-spatial dynamics. Currently, her research focuses on exploring socio-spatial relationships in residential architecture, with a particular emphasis on heritage-listed courtyard houses. Through the use of architectural computing techniques, she investigates the spatial properties of these traditional houses, tracing their morphological evolution over time and examining their social and cultural significance.
